Do I need a driving licence?
Yes — every buggy and quad, whether a rental or a safari tour, is self-drive. You'll need a valid, normal (non-professional) driving licence.
What's the minimum age?
It depends on the vehicle and operator — generally 21+, sometimes 23+ for the larger buggies. Message us with your group's ages and we'll confirm exactly what you qualify for.
Is it easy to drive?
Yes — automatic, no experience needed. On safari tours you'll get a safety briefing and follow a guide in convoy before setting off.
Is there a deposit?
For rentals, yes — a refundable €300 security deposit, returned in full when the vehicle comes back in good shape. It can be a hold on your card (not charged) or cash left at the office, whichever you prefer. Safari tours require no security deposit.
Do you pick up from my hotel?
Yes. Free hotel pickup and drop-off is included with rentals, and free hotel pickup is included with safari tours.
Can I rent a 4-seater buggy?
Yes — we now have 4-seater buggies for self-drive rental, from €250 per day. The fleet is small (2 vehicles), so message us to confirm availability before you book.
Do you do multi-day rentals? Is it cheaper?
Yes, and yes — the day rate drops when you keep the vehicle longer. A four-day buggy rental works out around €600 instead of €720 at the daily rate, and quads come down to about €90 a day over three days and €80 a day over five. Exact multi-day prices depend on the vehicle and the dates, so message us with what you need and we’ll come back with the real figure.
How far ahead should I book?
As early as you can. The fleets here are small — there are only two 4-seaters in the whole network, and the 2- and 3-seaters go first in the summer. Same-day and next-day is sometimes possible and we’ll always check, but the vehicle you actually want is much more likely to be free if you message us a few days out.
Can you sort out a big group?
Yes. Bigger groups go out in a convoy of several vehicles rather than one, so a group of ten or more is normal — we’ve put fourteen people out together. Tell us how many of you there are, the date, and how many can drive, and we’ll check across our operators and come back with what works.
Am I insured? What if the buggy gets damaged?
Third-party insurance is included on every rental — that covers damage to other people and their property. Cyprus law doesn’t allow full collision cover on these vehicles, so damage to the buggy itself is down to the driver: the security deposit is used first, and anything above it is settled directly with the operator. Every rental company on the island works this way. In practice it means sticking to the routes we send you and taking the tracks steadily.
